After living in sandwichtopias like Louisiana and Vermont, a move back to Florida has been... hard on the sandwich front. Sure I never have to worry about things like black ice or salt rusting out my under carriage, but how am I going to hoon right when I can't get a proper sandwich?
So, faced with a grim hellscape in Central Florida, I've decided to start my own !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . And when I say my I own, I mean for the people, of course.
So I ask you opponauts, is this mentally ill or the morally right thing to do? Feel free to like the page for some sweet !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

I'm not even hungry but my mouth is still watering!

Definitely the correct thing to do. I am now very hungry. I wish I had a decent sandwich place near where I live or work.

You're in Florida man. Go find a Cuban sandwich shop! That's the good stuff!

I don't want to take anything away from the cuban, and they are hot-fire here, but you can only put down so many pork, pork and pork sandwiches in a given month.

Man oh man do I miss me some Antone's po'boys. Houston may not exactly be paradise, but it does have some amazing food.

The Sandwich Council sounds like an awesome place to get some sandwiches. Like it could be fast food, but the dining area could be one giant table. Like a council. And people get to vote on sandwiches of the day and stuff.

Public subs are really one of the best...especially considering they are from a grocery store.

I averaged about 1.2 publix subs a day in high school. Winter Haven has no excuse not to have good sandwiches, but all but one of our Publix's are hit or miss in the deli section.

How is Vermont known for it's sandwiches?
I had a decent enough burger at Whetstone Station in Brattleboro this weekend (though they overcooked it, the bastards) but didn't think the state was really known for sandwiches.
Obviously LA is known very, very well for sandwiches.

I'm here to tell you sandwiches are VERY strong in VT. Burlington, VT alone has the following world-class sandwich shops:
Four Corners of the Earth (the Iraqi Turkey, ohhhhh so good)
Red Onion (their eponymous sando may be one of the best ever)
August 1st (their breakfast sandos are insane)
Great Harvest Bread Company
Cobblestone Deli (get The Purdy)
In a city of just 35,000 people that's more than their fair share of amazing places. There's another 10 shops in Burlington that are also very good, but they aren't utterly above reproach like those listed above.

Gotcha. I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever make it up as far as Burlington again. Usually the farthest up I go is White River Junction area.
